Free Video Editing Software Programs (Windows)
Need a video editor? The best advice is to start small and keep it simple. Do not worry about making the perfect video, or recording. Laugh at yourself, and be yourself. There are lots of tools that are easy to use and allow you to look incredibly creative. The goal is to inform, to make your point, to provide information in an easy to follow format. Video allows you to do that, and bring your topic to life for the viewer.
Free Video Creation Software for Windows Computers
Windows Movie Maker: (PC) Windows Movie Maker is available online from Microsoft for FREE. It is part of Windows Microsoft Essentials, (download only Movie Maker if it is all you need). A great video editor for quick video creation. You can create slideshows or videos, insert videos from a variety of devices. Trim, edit, speed up your video, add audio recordings, or music, transitions, menus and themes. This is a great place to start if you have a pc and don’t want to invest in costly software. Very easy to use and software tutorials are easy to follow and use from Microsoft. Check out my lesson on Windows Movie Maker on my You Tube Channel (Peppytechie)
VSDC Free Video Editor looks and feels just like a professional video editor. Many compare it to final cut pro. If you want to experience in-depth video editing, this program is an great way to do it for free. Be warned, though, that there’s a steep learning curve unless you already have some experience. Search Download.com for the program. Safest way to download software without fear of viruses, or malware.
FreeMake: Is known as a video converter (a very good one), but it also allows for video creation. Easy interface, with limited ability. Cut video parts which you don’t need before conversion. Rotate any video 90 or 180 degrees. Join video clips into one. Remove black bars. Limit output file size. This is a great little program and should be in your list of software, even if you don’t need it for editing, as a converter it is excellent.
